Occasionally teeth are missing and this can cause adjacent teeth to drift and create irregular spacing. Sometimes dental spacing arises when the teeth are tooth small to fill all of the available space or one or more permanent teeth are missing. Orthodontic treatment of spacing is achieved by either recreating the space for tooth replacements or complete space closure to avoid the need for implants or bridges.
