Just like our other patients we offer a full range of orthodontic braces for seniors including invisible braces, invisalign and self ligating braces . We may need to work closely with your dentist or other specialists to provide the right skills for the best outcome. Invisalign for seniors can be a more comfortable experience but also can interfer with natural tooth settling

When is it too late to see the orthodontist?
We routinely see patients in their 50s and 60s and less commonly in their 70s. If you are enjoying good general health you can even proceed with jaw surgery or other invasive treatments. Its never to late to see the orthodontist but like all other patients you must have great dental health before starting treatment. The dental conditions that are a definite deal breaker include severe or uncontrolled gum disease and tooth decay.
Modern orthodontics may not be for you

Failure to adapt
At the end of treatment your bite must feel comfortable. Orthodontics is universally successful in young patients due to their adaptability. Our ability to cope with new situations typically gets less as we age. Sometimes a minor tooth movement can be acccomplished without disruption but if a major overhaul is needed it can be too much to accomodate, and just like blockbuster video stores a period of uncomfortable realignment may be neccesary
